skinbeauty // You might know me from relationships articles but on this blog I'm talking about skin beauty.
I had suffered with having big dark circles underneath my eyes for my entire life. This was a huge hit to the way I felt about myself. I really didn't like people always asking me if I was tired, got enough sleep or if I was feeling well. I have always taken good care of myself, and pride myself on my appearance. I had tried just about every eye cream for dark circles you can think of from all of the department stores in my area. Every one of them had almost no effect on the appearance of the dark circles and bags under my eyes.

Then, about a year ago, I found the best eye cream for dark circles by searching online for a little while. The best part about it was that I didn't have to fork over 100+ dollars to get it. I actually was able to get a free trial of it so that I could see wether or not it would actually work.
The best eye cream that I have found is called Hydrolyze. This stuff has been recomended by a board certified plastic surgeon and actaully goes to work underneath the skin to remove dark circles, puffiness and wrinkles within about a week.
You can still get the free supply of it by clicking Here
If your like me and have struggled trying to find the solution to this for years, then I definately recomend you check this stuff out, as it has been extremely effective for me as an eye cream for getting rid of dark circles.

If you are looking for home remedy to reduce wrinkles, try this.
Smear honey on your face and leave it for as long as possible (but 5-10mins a day will do). then rinse off with tepid water mixed with a teaspoon of cider vinegar - this has a neutral pH and will act as a toner.

Apply cold raw grated potato mixed with the juice of half lemon around the eye area. Leave on for about 20 minutes and wash off with cold milk. Check out http://useinfo-darkcircles.blogspot.com/ for more info.
What causes dark circles under the eyes?
- Changes in your body's fluid balance
- Aging
- Allergic reaction
- High blood pressure
- Irritation
- Eyelid dermatitis
- Hangovers
- Medications
- Can be hereditary.
Avoid getting puffy eyes:
1. Stay hydrated
Always make sure you take in water or juice as much as possible. Not only is it good for puffy eyes, it is good for the whole body as well.
2. Watch your sleeping position
With your neck well supported, sleep with your head elevated slightly with a pillow to avoid fluid to settle around your eyes.
3. Get enough rest and sleep
Insufficient sleep is one of the principal causes of both puffy eyes and dark eye circles. Give yourself at least eight hours sleep and enough rest so as to avoid getting puffy eyes.
4. Listen to your eyes
When working in front of the computer, watching television or reading a book, be certain that you are listening to what your eyes are trying to tell you. If you feel that your eyes are getting tired, don't push it. Give it a rest. Lie down awhile, close your eyes for a minute or two and pat it with warm cloth to soothe it.
5. Watch what you eat
Too much caffeine and salt encourages water retention. Taking multivitamin with large doses of vitamin C and Iron supplements, eating more vegetables and fruits can help your problem of water retention as well give your body other benefits such as a steady blood pressure and lesser body fat.
6. Cold compress
Use cooled teabags, cucumber, or potato slices over your eyes for at least fifteen minutes and relax.
7. Concealer helps
Concealers can very well hide the puffiness or dark circles around your eyes. Make sure though, that you choose a color that is just slightly lighter than your skin tone. Choosing a very light shade may even draw more attention to the puffiness. Blend the concealer well on your skin before you apply foundation, and then dust it with a little powder. Be very certain that the concealer, foundation and powder that you will use do not contain any chemicals that can cause allergic reactions.
8. Eye creams
The market if filled with eye creams that offer promises of a cure for dark under eye circles and puffy eyes. Test some; chances are the very first cream that you apply will greatly improve your eyes condition.
Eye exercises:
- While seated, relax, breathe and look at a certain figure or spot that is lined above your nose's bridge
- Look at the spot for five seconds, and then relax your eyes
- Look at the tip of your nose for a count of five seconds and relax. This will help lessen the tension in your eyes
- While seated, looking straight in front, inhale and look to the right as far as possible, not turning your head
- Repeat the exercise for the left side of the eye
- Doing this three times will relive tired eyes
At some point in our lives we all experience dark circles and puffiness around the eye area. Dark circles and puffiness adds unwanted age to our appearance. There are many factors that contribute to dark circles under the eyes. Below are the most common causes.
Genetics – If your parents have or had dark areas around and/or under the eyes, chances are you are predisposed to inherit this condition. Furthermore, if your family members suffer from puffiness and bags under the eyes chances are you will inherit this trait.
Medications – Any medicine that causes the blood vessels to dilate will produce dark circles under and around the eye area. The skin under and around the eye is very thin and thus the veins will show through producing a dark area.
Allergies – Hay fever, asthma or other allergies that causes watery and itching eyes can produce dark areas under the eyes. Allergy sufferers have a tendency to rub away their itchy watery eyes thus damaging the blood vessels below the very thin skin of the eye area which causes the veins to show through.
Nutrition – Maintaining a well balanced diet with proper nutrition and being fully hydrated affects the appearance of your skin. Your skin needs its vitamins to stay healthy just as the rest of the body.
Lack of Sleep and Fatigue – Sleep is your body’s rejuvenation mechanism. Lack of sleep shows through in the eye area such as dark circles under eyes, puffiness and bags under the eyes. Has anyone ever said to you “you look tired today”? The appearance of your eyes and the surrounding area are the first to show tell tale signs of not enough sleep.
Hormones – Changes in hormones from menstruation, menopause or from medicines that influence hormones can change your skin tone and texture. Again, blood dilatation which causes veins to enlarge will show through under the very thin skin in the eye area leaving dark areas.
Aging – The eye area is the first to show signs of aging with wrinkles, sagging skin and thinning skin. The disappearance of fat pads which sits directly below the eyes causes shadows to reflect off the hollows of the eyes darkening the area below the eyes. Additionally lack of elasticity and lack of moisture will darken the eye area.
The eye area needs special treatment to ward off signs of aging and dark circles. There are many products on the market that address the needs of the eye area. Additionally, there are many home made recipes to decrease the appearance and/or eliminate dark circles under the eyes. Below are homemade recipes specifically for the eye area.
Almond Oil - Easily absorbed into the skin and is an excellent emollient with nourishing properties. Almond oil promotes soft and smooth skin. Also used in massage therapy for its hydrating properties. Note: People who are allergic to it, or have nut allergies should avoid almonds and almond oil. Massage around eye area gently without stretching the skin for two weeks and see the improvement.
Tea – A cold compress of rosemary. Excellent for its antioxidant properties, and secondly has a remarkable stimulating effect on the skin. Mix ½ cup fresh rosemary and a quart of water to a boil and steep for 20 minutes, strain and then chill. Place cloth in liquid, wring out and place on eyes for 15 to 20 minutes, once a day or as needed. Note: rosemary essential oil has a highly stimulating action and may not be suitable for people with epilepsy or high blood pressure. The essential oil should also not be used during pregnancy.
Tea – A cold compress of Chamomile. Chamomile tones all types of complexions. The anti-inflammatory effect of the essential oil applied topically improves skin regeneration, and a cold compress does wonders for puffy eyes. Chamomile is used in facial steams to reduce puffiness and cleanse the pores of the skin. Steep tea bags and chill. Place cotton balls in liquid and apply to dark circles leaving on 10 to 15 minutes. Note: Handling fresh chamomile plants may cause dermatitis in some individuals. It should not to be used when using anti-coagulant drugs. Please note that the essential oil is said to stimulate the uterus and should be used with care in pregnancy. Allergic reactions may occur - normally people allergic to daisies.
Lemon/Tomato Paste: 1 tsp. of tomato juice, ½ tsp. lemon juice, a pinch of turmeric powder and 1 tsp. of flour. Apply around the eyes and leave on for 10 minutes. Rinse thoroughly. The lemon refreshes and stimulates white corpuscles. Additionally, lemon is a bleaching agent for skin.
Above are just a few simple steps to eliminate dark circles under eyes. Another alternative is to invest in a good concealer to lighten up the eye area.

Concealer. Or lay some cold cucumbers or tea bags on them for about 10 minutes.

If you do the cucumber thing, there's one VERY important detail to know...
You have to slice the cucumber really thin, so it drapes against your under eye area. If you cut thick pieces, they'll just prop against the bones of your eye socket and not make contact with the dark circles -- thereby accomplishing nothing but making you smell like a salad.

Are you tired of seeing those dark circles under your eyes that make you look tired and older? I thought you might be as there are millions of other people as well who decide that they're not simply going to accept that they have to live with dark circles and other signs of aging. The multi-billion dollar cosmetic industry is proof of that. Through this article I am going to tell you of some ways to get rid of under eye circles naturally.
Under eye circles that are usually dark and quite ugly are typically a result of the effects of stress, lack of sleep and lack of proper hydration in your body.
So here are some tips to get rid of under eye circles;
1. Drink Water - Since a lack of proper hydration is one cause of these dark circles you want to consume as much water as you can throughout each and every day of your life. Water is essential to our bodies for so many reasons so make this a priority in your fight against dark under eye circles and your body will benefit in other ways as well.
2. Get Adequate Sleep - many people suffer from a lack of sleep in today's fast paced world and our bodies eventually show the effects of that in many ways, one of which is under eye circles.
3. Promote Proper Circulation - Poor circulation is one cause of dark under eye circles and can be caused by many things. Smoking is one habit that causes poor circulation and could promote you getting dark circles.
4. Slices of Cucumber - Place a slice of cucumber over each eye and rest the eyes for about 10- 15 minutes
5. Natural Skin Care Products - You have to be very careful in choosing these as many products are promoted as "natural" but are anything but. Instead they contain all sorts of harmful chemicals that could be damaging to your skin and make matters worse.
6. Proper Diet - Get as much fresh fruits and vegetables as you can into your diet as they contain natural enzymes, minerals and nutrients that are beneficial for your skin as well as your overall health.
So there you have 6 tips on how to look after your skin and your overall health better in an effort to get rid of under eye circles. I would highly recommend against using the majority of skin care products pushed on women for eye care or skin care in general.
You need to remember that your skin is your largest organ and you need to pay special attention to it in order for it to be good to you in your later years.

Use olive oil..It is amazing and pretty much free. All you have to do is rub it under your eyes and you must get lots and lots of sleep! Good luck
Answer by Abby
First of all, Don't use olive oil- It will make the eyes greasy and it takes weeks to get out of you're skin and can also make spots appear.
